Kurkiniemi Restaurant

The only restaurant by the lake in the centre of Mäntyharju, Kurkiniemi offers a charming setting in a 19th-century building. It also caters for private functions. The restaurant has its own swimming beach, a sauna that can be rented, and a beach volleyball court. Kurkiniemi is the starting point for paddling routes in summertime and skiing trails in wintertime.

Rosmarin Restaurant

Situated at the Art Centre Salmela, 3 kilometres from the centre of Mäntyharju, Kesäheinä specialises in local food and serves generous lunch buffets. The restaurant also presents exhibitions.

Kaneliässä Cafeteria, Bakery and Cyber Café

This popular café can be found in the centre of Mäntyharju right next to the market square, and it has a small play area for children. Kaneliässä's delicious home baked pastries are also sold at the café at the Iso-Pappila Open-Air Museum (open during events).

Café at Hillosensalmi Train Station

At the old train station next to the Vuohijärvi lake you can find a cosy café that also sells local handicrafts. The station is situated along Route 368 between Mäntyharju and Repovesi National Park. Alternatively, you can paddle there by kayak or canoe!

The café at the Miekankoski rapids is a great destination for a one-day outing. The café's specialties are its home baked Karelian pies and rye bread. It also offers catering services. Canoes, kayaks, a rowing boat and bicycles are available for rent, and you can also visit the Log Floating Museum, handicrafts shop and blacksmith's workshop.

Tommolansalmi Camping

This holiday centre is ideal for one-day outings and as a rest stop when driving in the direction of Kouvola. A tour cycling route also begins at Tommolansalmi. The licensed café serves local food and home baked pastries.
